Happy with Debian
Last week I successfully switched from Fedora to Debian Stable. Why? Because I can! No, joking aside … Debian has always fascinated me because I like the community factor. It feels very much like “don’t be evil”.
Why not Arch or NixOS or whatever?
I also like the concept of Debian that only stable and tested software makes it into the stable distribution. I don’t find it so dramatic that some of it is a bit older. It works.
On my TUXEDO Pulse 14 Gen3 I had to deviate a bit from the stable and install the 6.10 kernel via the backports so that the suspend mode works.
So I am now very happy to have a stable system with SwayWM 1.7 and tuigreet instead of GNOME or KDE.
